The Tunnel to Towers Run Savannah honors the legacy of New York City firefighter Stephen Siller and his 342 FDNY brothers who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001.
The 34-year-old Siller took his final heroic steps as he ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center to help save others. The annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York City retraces Stephen’s footsteps on that fateful day. In duplicating his path, runners honor not only Stephen but also his firefighter brothers and all those who perished on 9/11.
Savannah is honored to bring this event to our hometown. The 3rd annual Tunnel to Towers Run Savannah will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 downtown at Orleans Square. Registration for the Tunnel to Towers Run Savannah is available online or in person at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah, located at 3405 Waters Avenue in Savannah.
All proceeds from the Tunnel to Towers Run Savannah benefit the Foundation’s various programs, including Building for America’s Bravest, which constructs specially adapted smart homes for our nation’s most catastrophically injured service members. By participating, we take a solid role in continuing Stephen’s legacy by supporting our nation’s first responders and service members.
THA Group is proud to sponsor this event. Whether you’re participating or cheering on our participating employees, we hope to see you there!
